Aggressive Skate Boots
Varieties of Aggressive Skate Boots
Aggressive boots are specifically crafted to endure significant impacts and grinds when executing tricks at the skatepark or on the street. Typically, all aggressive skate boots are UFS compatible, allowing them to fit the majority of aggressive skate frames. There are two primary categories of aggressive skate boots: Hard shell boots and soft shell boots.
Hard shell aggressive boots are the most widely favoured. This style of boot comprises a plastic shell encasing a removable liner. They offer a close fit and can shield skaters from most impacts during stunts.
Soft shell aggressive boots provide excellent support, enhanced comfort, and flexibility. They include reinforced sections on the most vulnerable parts of the shell, making them well-suited for grinds. However, if you intend to execute more advanced tricks and higher jumps, you might prefer a pair of hard shell boots.
How Snug Should Aggressive Skate Boots Be?
Aggressive boots should have a snug fit, without causing discomfort to the user. You should have the ability to move your toes slightly and avoid any points of pressure. When fitting a new pair of aggressive skates, ensure there's minimal lateral movement.
Given that most support is derived from the cuff, always tighten your laces and buckles as much as possible to make the skates highly responsive. The snugness of aggressive skates also varies with their structure. Soft aggressive boots need to be fastened securely for enhanced stability, whereas hard shell aggressive boots provide greater support due to their plastic build.
