Initially I wanted to use them in my vans slip-ons only because the soles are thinner I got too much space in the shoe so can only use them in shoes with laces. Felt a little hard at first session but did soften later. Not quite convinced yet about how well they work because I don't notice much difference.... Skate shoes nowadays have a good sole and therefore already work well for me, but if you don't have skate shoes these soles will help well though.
