The Loctite 243 is a medium-strength adhesive for locking threads. It serves a general purpose and is ideal for all metal fastenings with threads. This allows you to bond stainless steel to surfaces like plated surfaces or aluminium.

The function of the thread lock is to aid in preventing loosening due to vibrations from riding. While it secures the threads, it is still possible to dismantle them by hand.
