To customise the mouthguard, be cautious as boiling water can pose a hazard!
- Boil the water, allowing it to stand for 30 seconds before immersing the adult mouthguard in the water for 60 seconds.
- Using a spoon, remove the mouthguard from the water, shake off any excess water, and swiftly centre the mouthguard on the upper teeth. (The mouthguard should feel warm)
- Once the upper teeth are centred, bite gently and use your tongue to suck/squeeze out air and excess water from the mouthguard. Fingers may also be utilised to press the protector into place externally.
- Keep the mouthguard in position for 30 seconds, then remove and place it under cold running water.
- If the fit is not precise, repeat the process until the alignment is perfect.
