SHELL
The X-Tech shell is crafted with strength and support as its primary focus, featuring a unique sporty appearance that distinguishes it from its competitors. Constructed from a specialised composite material, it is incredibly stiff due to the inclusion of 25% fibreglass. This makes the shell exceptionally strong and supportive. It also boasts a 195mm long mounting distance with an X-slot, allowing for the adjustment of all frames to the side, front, and rear, to achieve the ideal skating position for everyone. The base is ventilated and features the X design to ensure torsional stiffness and optimal power transfer with each stride.
CUFF
The adjustable X-Tech cuff is designed with emphasis on support. It is made from a specialised composite material, with the addition of 25% fibreglass, making it extremely stiff. Additionally, it includes a side stride bar made from aluminium for added support. This cuff can be adjusted for forward flex in the hinge area, allowing athletic skaters more flexibility to the front and rear, whereas intermediate skaters can reduce the flex for added support and a shallower skating position. Furthermore, this cuff can be adjusted in height, offering either a lower or higher cuff and, consequently, more or less support. The buckle features a sleek and stylish fast lock design.
PADDING
This skate features a dual-piece construction. The lower section is crafted like a shoe with an excellent rear fit to prevent heel movement. The upper portion is a flexible cuff with thick padding that wraps comfortably around the leg, providing robust support yet allowing freedom of movement. The padding of the tongue is 3-D shaped, conforming to the shape of the foot.
LACING
This model showcases a premium grade PU upper. It includes quick lacing with woven loops, providing efficient and swift lacing. The open sidewall and distinct dual-piece construction not only offer excellent ventilation and comfort but also ensure a superb and snug fit. Superior stitching quality and meticulous attention to detail, paired with a rear carry strap, complete this exceptional skate. The upper is directly connected to the shell, facilitating excellent power transfer and enhancing foot support and stability. This Shell Connected Construction (SCC) enhances the skate's manoeuvrability.
FRAME
The XC Path frame is a one-piece frame, precisely CNC machined from a solid, robust extrusion. It sets a new benchmark in frame construction, being strong, stiff, responsive, and lightweight. The XC Path frame includes two mounting distance standards – the 165mm and 195mm – and thus can be adapted for various overboot types if required. The frame provides the option to alter the wheel's position to stand more or less off the ground. The XC Path comes with 8mm axles and integrated frame spacers, requiring no additional parts for a perfect roll straight out of the box. We offer two sizes of frames – 17.7” / 450mm for shoe sizes up to 41 EU and 20.2” / 514mm for size 42 and above.
TYRES & BEARINGS
The skate comes with Powerslide Rustproof bearings lubricated with light grease. It features serviceable shields, a sturdy composite cage, and seven steel balls, meticulously honed and finished to ensure a smooth, pleasant roll. Raceways and balls are specially coated to prevent rusting. The 6 ¼” air tyres are produced by Kenda, a renowned tyre manufacturer. They include a robust 5-spoke rim. The area around the valve is protected with rim tape, a feature well known in bicycle tyres. The durable rubber outer layer has an off-road profile for improved grip. The tyres can be inflated up to a maximum of 6.3bar / 90 psi. We also offer 150mm Super High Rebound PU wheels for skaters who prefer skating mainly on asphalt and desire greater speed.
BRAKE
The Powerslide calf brake offers numerous adjustments to cater to individual preferences and skating skills, ensuring a secure feel and optimal braking performance. Skaters can adjust the brake pad in all directions and even the angle. The height adjustment feature is excellent for finding a personally preferred braking position, whether with a straighter leg or more angled legs. Once the brake pad is worn down, its angle can be adjusted to maintain the best braking point for increased safety and security. The pad is easily replaced when worn. The soft pad itself can also be adjusted in height when fastened to the leg. Lastly, the soft pad can be shifted forwards and backwards. The skate is equipped with only one brake system. Skaters have the option to switch the brake to the other side if preferred, or they can purchase an additional brake system to assemble on the second skate if they feel more secure with two brakes.
