Topaz Roller Derby Skates

Sitting just above the middle of the Derby specialised quad skates selection in the Chaya range, are these Topaz skates. They deliver an excellent platform to advance your skill development, without costing too much. The great thing is, if you find that Roller Derby is your passion, you have the option to upgrade the plate, wheels, and other components for a more personalised style and superior parts.

The boot is designed with the low-slung profile of a trainer and covered in Polyurethane Nano Leather, which feels soft to the touch and is resilient against wear from contact with, for example, Derby rink flooring or other derby players. The Poron/EVA padding is exceptionally soft and comfortable, allowing you to skate all day with minimal discomfort. To perfect the fit, Chaya has made the boot and liner entirely heat-mouldable, providing that second-skin fit. It is low cut to offer optimal manoeuvrability.

For the Topaz, Chaya has opted for their Zena plates. These are extremely durable, lightweight, and also compatible with the unique Chaya Dual Center Mounting, which allows you to adjust the boot angle to your specific riding style on the plate. The Power toe system provides additional power, speed, and control and maintains a slight pre-tension in your muscles, allowing you to react swiftly and change direction instantly.

The trucks are crafted from aluminium and have an angle of 20º.

The Octo Edge wheels are wide and grippy, boasting a 92A durometer.

The Chaya Cherry Bomb toe-stopper offers increased control and manoeuvrability. The semi-soft Jelly Interlock bushings create an ideal balance between comfort and control. The Wicked ABEC7 bearings ensure an effortless roll speed.
