Great skis that are “no-wax”. I have been renting equipment and decided to purchase skis and boots this year. I knew I liked Fischer equipment and these skis have been awesome. Absolutely love them. I find they give me added stability off track as well. I use these for Classic, tracked out XC ski trails. I really appreciated the helpful customer service. I am 5’4” tall, 114lbs and purchased the 182 medium. I was a worried they would be a little bit too long, but that is not the case. I am an “experienced beginner” haha, and these are excellent

The skis seem good but are a little slow out of the box. I couldn't tell if they were waxed or not.

Reply from SkatePro: Thank you for your reveiw. These skis that are wax-free. So, no wax is to be applied in the kick zone. You still have to prepare the glide zone with glider wax if you like. Hope this helps! 😊 If you have any questions with regard to skins or waxing, feel free to contact us. // Doreen |
Wonderful skis for a beginner or intermediate. Easy to use and get a good kick/glide, tremendous flexibility to use in different weather conditions, though (as one would expect) they do bind up a little in weather right at or above freezing. In all other conditions, though, these are fantastic!!!

From someone who hadn't really been on XC skiis in 35 years - I'm amazed at these things. I assume other skin-type skis are similar. I fell down a few times because the traction zone is EXTREMELY sticky, but I'm used to it now. It's absolutely worth the additional expense over fish scale waxless, even for someone just going out on the weekends from time to time.
