Onyx Core 5mm Frontzip 2018 Wetsuit

The Ion Onyx Core Semidry wetsuit, featuring a chest zip with a 5/4mm thickness, provides an ideal all-round choice for watersports such as kitesurfing, surfing, wakeboarding, windsurfing, and SUP (Stand Up Paddling). This wetsuit ensures exceptional flexibility, particularly in the arms and legs, where it is most necessary. In addition to keeping you warm in chilly waters, it also offers protection against wind chill.

The wetsuit incorporates Ion's Hot Stuff lining inside the chest area for added comfort.

Enhanced durability is achieved in the knee region through the use of Supra Tex nylon, a fabric known for its high abrasion resistance, ensuring better protection against wear. Furthermore, the wetsuit provides improved comfort and flexibility due to its contour cut at the collar, wrists, knees, and elbows, which follows the body's natural shapes. Inside the chest area, there is a pocket specifically designed for keys.

According to Ion's general guide (though individual experiences may vary), this wetsuit is suitable for temperatures ranging from 32° to 48° Fahrenheit.

Features:

• Aqua-A

Aqua-A is a water-based adhesive free from solvents, utilised in all Ion wetsuits.

• Seam reinforcements

Ion has integrated Melco tape at stress points within the wetsuit to bolster its durability. Ion advises: “If you have inadvertently left your suit in the boot of your car on a hot day, the tape may start to peel. Don't worry! Use an iron gently on the areas affected, as the heat will reactivate the glue.”

• Contour Cut

Wetsuits are designed to follow body contours, promoting flexibility and comfort. All Ion wetsuits include a contour cut.

• Drain Holes

To prevent water build-up where fabrics overlap, drain holes are incorporated into the design. These holes do not enlarge.

• Internal Key Pocket

An internal key pocket is located within the wetsuit, resistant to water exposure.

• GBS - Glued Blind Stitched

The panels of neoprene are joined using glue along with blind stitch sewing to ensure excellent water resistance.

• Supra Tex

This material is applied in areas of the wetsuit exposed to greater abrasion, such as the knees. Supra Tex fabric is highly resistant to wear.
