Apex 2018 Waist Kitesurfing Harness

The Apex Kitesurfing harness from Ion is a waist harness designed for comprehensive kitesurfing, emphasising a superb and comfortable fit. It is an excellent selection for both wave riding and freeriding, suitable for beginners as well as advanced kitesurfers.

This harness is crafted to ensure a snug and precise fit to maximise power transfer, control, and comfort.

The Apex incorporates the Ion C-bar technology. Unlike metal, the C-bar technology utilises reinforced injected fibres for the spreader bar, making it extremely lightweight. The spreader features a tension lever system that effortlessly tightens the harness for a secure fit.

Features:

• Soft Edge and Extended Soft Edge

The edging around the harness is constructed with extra soft neoprene and enhanced with specialised foam to optimise comfort. The Soft Edge bends laterally at the hips and ribs to enhance comfort.

• X Spine

An X-shaped EVA thermo-moulded insert for optimal protection of the back, while still allowing the harness to remain flexible, providing a sense of unrestricted movement.

• Split Edge

In order to mould the harness more perfectly around the body, the Split Edge, a divided buckle plate, ensures the harness stays closer to the body, delivering outstanding comfort and power transfer.

• Torsion free construction

Comprehensive directional flexibility is critical for freedom of movement when navigating through the water. The torsion free construction, featuring a segmented internal design, imparts these qualities to the harness.

• Cross link

The cross link is a reinforced webbing with a crossover design, distributing weight across the back.

• Belt Garage

Pockets that shield and protect the buckles with a rubber patch, providing easy storage for the webbing.

• Kite Knife

In an emergency, having a kite knife at hand is always advantageous. This harness includes an integrated kite knife.

• Invisible Seam

These seams create a seamless transition from the mid-section of the harness to the neoprene soft edges.

• HPL Slider

A streamlined handle on the back, featuring an integrated stainless steel ring to connect to the handle pass leash.

• Bar Keeper Belt

The Bar Keeper Belt connects to the lower section of the harness. Attached to the spreader bar, it ensures the spreader bar remains in a low position.

• Protection Pad

The metal spreader bar is enhanced with a webbing connection, distributing the load more effectively and preventing the spreader bar from twisting horizontally.

• Wrap Tec
